Every floor is different! The cost of refinishing hardwood floors is dependent on various factors: What condition are the floors in now? Type of finish (engineered, prefinished hardwood etc.) staining… are we changing the colour? Price is measured in sq ft, size and layout, open or tight spaces? It is very difficult to quote a floor without seeing it. Giving an estimate prior would be a very generalized quote, which risks being inaccurate. This is why I offer free onsite estimates.
Yes, it creates minimal dust. The area is sectioned of with polly, we use specialized equipment with built in vacuums and filtration, this allows the dust to be captured well working. When sanding is complete, we do a thorough wipe down of all surfaces within the work area. This ensures a “dust free” refinishing.
800 – 1000 sq ft floor will typically take 5-7 days to complete, depending on type of floor, repairs and layout.
